Danny Everett competed as an American Track & Field athlete, specializing in the 400 meters. He ranks as one of the Top Ranked 400 m Runners in history.  During his career, Danny earned 2 Olympic Medals, set 7 indoor and outdoor world records, and was ranked #3 in the world.  Danny currently ranks in the top 20 fastest individual male 400m runners of all-time.   Danny spent decades applying elite performance principles beyond sport. Today he brings the same standard of excellence that defined his athletic career to create spaces where people can grow, connect, and move with purpose.

Danny Everett is an Olympian turned coach, chef and creative. Born in Van Alstyne, Texas and raised in South Central Los Angeles, his journey reflects discipline, excellence, and the power of movement to transform lives.

After a standout high school track career, Danny became a two-time Olympian, winning gold in the 1600m relay and bronze in the 400m at the 1988 Olympic Games. In addition to his Olympic success, he is a three-time World Champion, two-time NCAA individual champion, and a member of the UCLA Track & Field Hall of Fame. He continued his athletics legacy, coaching track and field for over three decades, helping athletes and young people discover their potential. In addition, he’s worked one-on-one with pro athletes in track and field, MLB, and NFL. 

Beyond athletics, Danny has spent over 30 years as an Executive Chef, curating soulful culinary experiences through Soulfete!. Most recently, Danny has become the Co-Founder of Perpetual Motion, bringing a lifetime of excellence and lived wisdom to a multidisciplinary creative studio operating at the intersection of storytelling, athletics, and community.

Danny is currently involved in projects spanning documentary film, digital content, mentorship initiatives, and public speaking. He is an Executive Producer for a feature documentary under development on the historic Santa Monica Track Club and its impact on amateur Track & Field.

Outside of his professional life, Danny finds grounding in cooking, gardening, meditation, and time spent with his wife, children, and mother whom he caretakes for at his home in Upper Ojai, California.
